The disappearance of the Hawaiian nation in 1893 anticipated the hastening disappearance today of our entire local community, Hawaiians and all, into the Great Hawaiian Diaspora of the 21st Century. And yet, a new Hawai’i will emerge and re-emerge, in whatever demographic form, that will always stand at the center of the Pacific Rim nations and their peoples, and always as a melting pot that transforms the best of the old into things new and magical. That’s what we do.
