Welcome to our collection of videos of Hawaiian society. The future of America can be seen here in Hawai’i, its demographic leading edge, and the day will come when every community in the United States will become the kind of melting pot that Hawai’i is today. In a sense, race defines America: America is the world’s country–we draw the best, the boldest, and the brightest from around the world. Four out of every five American Nobel Prize recipients have been first- or second-generation immigrants. But Americans must learn to either embrace their differences (as they have done here) and become enriched in so doing… or they will be overcome by those differences. Want to know what America’s going to look like in 50 years? Look at what Hawai’i is today. As for what Hawai’i will look like in 50 years? A wealthy burb of Southern California?
